The Church of Scientology for Europe has published a feature titled
“How Scientology’s Social Programs Mobilize Volunteers and Deliver Local Impact Across Europe.”The article spotlights how a variety of humanitarian initiatives—ranging from drug-prevention campaigns and human-rights education to disaster relief and community training—are making a tangible difference across the continent.
Rooted in the vision of Founder L. Ron Hubbard and led globally under the guidance of
David Miscavige, these efforts include the Truth About Drugs campaign, Youth for Human Rights, The Way to Happiness,
Applied Scholastics, Criminon, Narconon, and the active network of Volunteer Ministers.
Across Europe, volunteers are visible at schools, festivals, public events, and emergencies—distributing educational materials,
delivering free news eu taxonomy skills seminars, and offering aid in crises. From the earthquakes in Italy (L’Aquila and Amatrice) to the DANA floods in Valencia,
and even during the Paris 2024 Olympics—where more than one million “Truth About Drugs” booklets were handed out—these programs are making their presence felt.
Coordination is led in Brussels by Ivan Arjona-Pelado, President of the Church’s European Office for Public Affairs and Human Rights.
The model emphasizes freely available, multilingual educational content and strong community partnerships—fostering a culture of volunteering and civic engagement throughout Europe.
